Erica Littlewolf and Karin Kaufman Wall from Central States MCC attended our church this morning to help us learn more about the Doctrine of Discovery. They chaired the “Traveling Education Exhibit Committee” that was responsible for the production of an exhibit to inform the Anabaptist community about the history of the Doctrine of Discovery. During the Sunday School hour they led us in an interactive learning experience involving having quilts pulled out from us symbolizing the way land was taken away from indigenous residents of the North American Continent (Turtle Island).
